NO NEW TAXES

Same quarter-cent rate since 1989.

This vote doesn't raise anything. It just keeps it going.

COMBAT sales tax renewal is on November's ballot

Since 1989, this quarter-cent tax has funded Jackson County's fight against drugs and addiction, generating $31 million a year. This November, voters decide whether to renew it. A "no" vote ends the funding in March 2027. It's not a new tax, just a choice to keep what's already working.

WHAT’S AT STAKE?

Either way, the tax rate doesn't move.
This is a renewal, not a new tax.

Vote YES: COMBAT runs through 2037

  • Keeps police equipped to make arrests and win convictions

  • Keeps fighting addiction, educating kids, and getting drugs off the street

  • Keeps trauma care and support there for victims of abuse

Vote NO: COMBAT ends March 31, 2027

  • Strips almost $25 million from local law enforcement

  • Shuts down the Jackson County Drug Task Force for good

  • Cuts KCPD staff, slowing down every case waiting on evidence
